12 Days : Day 1 The Healing Power of Clove

December is Here!  Because I live in California I work hard at putting myself in the Holiday season and scents are at the heart of it.

Cloves evoke the spirit of christmas to me. My mother like many used cloves to hold pineapple slices on her baked ham. We also decorated oranges with cloves for a yummy scent throughout our house.

For those in colder climes clove can also help with cold limbs and achy joints. The easiest way to add clove to your life is with this oil by Aura Cacia:

You can use this oil in a oil burner, mini humidifer, in a hand or body lotion. Clove is a natural antiseptic, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and is  a warming oil.

Clove aids in digestion, kills harmful bacteria, stimulates blood flow and helps with stress. Just having a bottle on you for a quick wiff or to rub into your pulse points will give great results.

And if you want even more warmth make clove tea!

Hope you add this amazing oil to your December activities.
